While most trauma “treatment” centers only aim to help people cope with post-traumatic symptoms — without creating lasting change or improving overall quality of life — the Center for Post-Traumatic Growth is here to help you eliminate post-traumatic symptoms and build a life filled with fulfillment, meaning, and success.

 

The Center for Post-Traumatic Growth uses a holistic, results-driven approach that integrates therapy through three stages: past, present, and future. In the first stage, we help you process the negative effects of the traumatic experience and shift your automatic reactions to triggers. In the second stage, we provide you with practical tools for self-management and emotional resilience, so you can function effectively and move toward your personal goals. In the third stage, we work with you to create an inspiring future vision and a step-by-step plan to help you reach your full potential.

 

The center was founded by Amatzia Fensterheim, a trauma therapist and wounded disabled veteran who experienced deep trauma both as a child suffering from ongoing bullying and later as a soldier, when he was severely wounded and lost his entire squad during a military mission. Through his own experiences and years of working with different therapies, Amatzia noticed that most existing methods either offer tools for coping with symptoms or focus solely on the traumatic event. But in reality, what people truly want is to build a high quality of life — one filled with fulfillment, meaning, and success.

 

That’s why the mission of the center is to guide and support you in regulating your nervous system while building a life filled with fulfillment, meaning, and success.
